1.00 TECHNICAL
1.01 Introductions
The meeting began at approximately 2:00 pm.
1.02 Right-of-Way
FNI will prepare three large maps showing the proposed ROW FNI
acquisition for the public meeting. At the meeting, KG will describe thc
ROW process.
1.03 Public Meeting
KG will handle the public meeting. He asked FNI to bring several sets of
plans and strip maps. FNI

There has not yet been a final decision made about the bridge
replacement. KG will present the options at the upcoming public meeting CITY
to gauge the opinions of the residents that would be impacted. The
detour route using Southwestern will be presented as well.
1.05 ADA/TAS Review
KG agreed to use a private ADA review firm, except for Accessology.
FNI will try to find another firm that is acceptable to the City. FNI will FNI
plan on having a preliminary review of the construction drawings.
1.06 Franchise Utilities
The City will have a meeting Oct. 21 with the franchise utilities. FNI
asked about attending and presenting the plans to the utilities. FNI
1.07 Other Consultants
FNI reported about our coordination with the other consultants working
on adjacent projects. FNI asked about having the City inform us when CITY
TranSystems make their next submittal of plans for the Freeport
intersection and for the Bethel Road culvert.
1.08 Landscaping
The lighting to be used was discussed. The plan is to match what was
used in the Old Coppell project; however the City has not been able to CITY
~rovide specific model and part numbers for the lighting fixtures. The
City also mentioned allowing TXU to install the lighting.
1.09 Robertson property on Coppell Rd
On street parking will be required at this property. Parking stalls will
need to be 90 degrees to the road. KG will continue his discussion with CITY
the City Manager and the property owner to determine the best layout for
the hike & bike trail.
FNI will look at issues concerning the grade of any new parking and how
that impacts the possible options for the hike & bike trail. FNI

1.10 Pavement pattern
There was discussion of the pavement patterns proposed in the Old
Coppell area. They currently do not match thc City's ordinance. KG will CITY
check with the planning department to determine if it is possible to
change the allowable pavement patterns in the Old Coppell area.
1.11 Loch Lane
KM mentioned that the waterline and fire hydrant at the intersection of
Loch Lane and Bethel Rd may be replaced soon.
1.12 Project Schedule
FNI plans on submitting 90% construction plans at the end of November. FNI

The next scheduled progress meeting is November 18, 2004.
