Dear Mr. Denton:
The City of Coppell is designing construction plans for Sandy Lake Road (SH 121 to Coppell
Road N.) and Royal Lane (Sandy Lake Road to Notlhpoint). The project will affect an area
larger than five acres and we are requesting your review and approval as required by the Texas
Antiquities Code. Enclosed please find a set of half-scale plans for the proposed construction.
The project is located in the Grapevine Quadrangle and the limits of the project are shown on the
attached USGS map. The project includes + 5100 linear feet of roadway improvements along
Sandy Lake Road. The existing two-lane asphalt road will be removed and a four-lane divided
roadway with improved drainage will be constructed. Two additional lanes with improved
drainage will be added to Royal Lane to make the road a four-lane divided roadway.
