Additional Scope of Work
Engineering Services Agreement - Amendment No. 1
Dear Mr. Griffin:
Pursuant to our meeting on Thursday September 9, 2004, we have reviewed the scope of work required to
prepare an additional plat and field note description for the easement associated with tying the proposed water
line to the existing 8-inch water line at the east property line of the Magnolia Park Co. Ltd. property. We
have also reviewed the scope of work to add this to our plans and specifications package. The area affected
by this change is illustrated on the attached Exhibit I.
The change in scope items are listed below:
Field survey services to locate existing 8-inch line and establish the location of valves to ensure
constructability,
Field survey services to establish location of existing property boundary monumentation to be utilized
in the preparation of plat and field notes,
Addition of a permanent easement and temporary construction easement across the Magnolia Park
property, and
Addition of the plan and profile for the additional 35-feet of 8" water line connecting the existing 8-
inch to the proposed 12-inch lines.
In regards to the Engineering Fees to design this addition to the project, we offer the following breakdown:
Design ......................................................... additional $900.00 lump sum
Construction ................................................ no change
Contract Administration ............................. no change
Field Survey ................................................ additional $375.00 lump sum
Plat and Field Note Preparation .................. additional $900.00 lump sum

We request this contract amendment in the amount of $2,175.00 to cover the additional engineering services
to add this 8-inch water line connection to the existing 8-inch line. If you are in agreement with this contract
amendment, please have one copy executed on behalf of the City of Coppell and returned to our office.
