St Andrews Est-CS041028John Elias - St. Andrews Estates, lots 21 & 22. Page From: To: Subject: John Elias dtrudell@theholmesbuilder.com St. Andrews Estates, lots 21 & 22. The Holmes Builders Dean Trudell 1408 Halsey Way, 100 Carrollton, Tx. 75007 RE: Tree Removal at St. Andrews Estates lots 21 & 22. The City of Coppell Tree Ordinance does protect the trees in question on lots 21, & 22. The (2) trees in question are #1764 (60" texas ash tree) and #348 (30" pecan). By removing the trees the tree mitigation will be as follows: GROSS RETRIBUTION PRESERVATION CREDIT (trees preserved on site divided by total trees on site to get %) LANDSCAPE CREDIT NET RETRIBUTION AMOUNT DUE Previous Amount Paid BALANCE DUE 608" 383" 77" 148" x $100 $14,800 -~11,800 $3,000 Holmes Builders has already pulled a tree removal permit for the St. Andrews Project, and tree retribution payment was made in the amount of $11,800. The additional tree removals will require an additional $3,000 to be paid in tree retribution. Per your request, the City will consider additional trees planted on lots 21 & 22 to help off set some of the cost of tree retribution. It will be difficult to off set the entire $3,000 due to the fact that by ordinance there is a 50% max for landscape credits. Meaning if you plant (6) 6" trees or 36 caliper inches, you will receive a landscape credit of 18" or $1,800. Holmes Builders will be short 30" on lots 21 & 22. It would require the planting of 60" to off set the retribution. There does not appear to be enough room on the lot to plant (10) 6" caliper trees on the two lots. I would suggest that you plant (3) 6" caliper trees on each lot (#21, & #22) which will give you a landscape credit of 18" or $1,800. The remaining tree retribution balance of $1,200 will need to be paid to the City of Coppell Reforestation and Natural Areas Fund. All tree retribution fees & landscape credits must be taken care of prior to The City Final Buildin.q Inspection, or two years which ever comes first.
