ST9302-CS000908September 8, 2000 Allan Keller TXU Transmission Room 1105 P.O. Box 970 Fort Worth, Texas 76101-0970 RE: Sandy Lake Road, ST934)2 Dear Mr. Keller: Thank you for returning my call this morning concerning the relocation of several TXU poles associated with the Sandy Lake Road reconstruction near MacArthur Boulevard. Enclosed with this letter I am providing copies of the construction plans with the general area of the poles in conflict highlighted. There are three poles that need to be relocated. While the contractor is currently installing other items associated with the project, he does have an immediate need to install the sewer line along the south side of Sandy Lake Road, running east from MacArthur Boulevard. That sewer line conflicts with two transmission poles. Also, the contractor is in the process of creating a detour on the west side of MacArthur Boulevard which is in conflict with one TXU pole. During our conversation you stated that there could be as long as a two month lead time for delivery of concrete poles if there is not adequate room to guy wire the relocated wooden poles. Once you have had time to look at the location of the poles, please contact Garreth Campbell or myself at 972-304- 3679 to provide us an indication of a timeline when the poles will be clear. If the estimated cost to relocate these power poles exceeds $15,000.00, an item will need to be taken to our City Council for approval. That Agenda Item would go to Council on September 26, 2000, therefore I would need information, i.e. cost and contract, provided to me no late than September 15, 2000. I know that the timeline is extr~ short and I do apologize, however, any help that you can provide to us in expediting the relocation of the conflicting TXU power poles would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your consideration in this matter. Sincerely, Kenneth M. Griffin, P.E.
