PA9901-CS041112ON THE QUESTI'ON OF FI'NAL ACCEPTANCE LETTERS FOR PARKS PROJECTS Rhonda Brothers 11/10/2004 2:59:29 PM Question to ]ohn Elias: I am asking for this information on behalf of Larry Davis. There are several projects that Engineering's inspectors have been involved with that belonged to Parks Dept. It is my understanding that Purchasing keeps up with the maintenance bonds and close-out of those projects. True or False? Larry's question is whether it is necessary for us to do a Final Acceptance Letter based on the portion of the work Engineering inspected. Would it be helpful or necessary to your process(es)? Please reply. Answer 11/11/2004 8:38:03 AN Rhonda, It would be great if Larry could either fax or email a final acceptance letter. I'll put it in the job file. You are also correct on the bonds, Purchasing keeps them. Thank You .John Elias Park Operations Manager Rhonda Brothers 11/11/2004 4:21:06 PM >>> Question: 3ohn, is it possible for us to receive a copy of your letter of final acceptance for the entire project when it is issued? The reason I ask is so we will have a date to benchmark when a bond inspection for work we oversaw should be conducted. We try very hard to hold contractors' feet to the fire when it comes to m- bond repairs. The projects I'm referring to include but are not limited to the following: WAGON WHEEL PARK - Soccer Fields and NW Parking Lot DENTON CREEK / ASBURY MANOR TRAILS ALLEN RD PARK LAKE RETAINING WALL The bonds we require on projects state that the effective date is the date of Final Acceptance from the City for a duration of 2 years, if yours is the same or similar, knowing that date will help us keep your projects' infrastructure maintained in good condition, is that do-able for you? Answer 11/12/2004 7:47:54 AM Rhonda, Sounds good, I111 forward you copies. John Text copied from entails between Rhonda Brothers and John Elias 11/10/04- 11/12/04
