This letter is written as a follow-up to my voice mail message a~,
31, 2000. On August 30, 2000, your fu'm placed a 30" water li
contained a substantial amount of sediment. That sediment w
water system creating situations where citizens throughout the city are experiencing brown
water flowing out of their faucets. I had 4 employees working most of the night flushing fire
hydrants. They continued to work today and will continue to work until the system is clean. I
also have three secretaries fielding non-stop telephone calls from irate citizens about the brown
water in their system.
We have been alerted by numerous citizens that they will expect reimbursement for costs
associated with the sediment impacting their plumbing, water heaters, irrigation systems,
health, etc.
My expectation is that a full report will be provided by your firm on the processes taken to
ensure that the 30" water line was clean prior to placing the water line in service on August
30, 2000. Your firm should also expect to reimburse the City of Coppell for all labor costs
associated with my field personnel flushing fire hydrants and secretaries fielding telephone
calls throughout the day. You firm should also expect that claims filed regarding the sediment
in the system will be processed to your firm.

Dear Mr. Priddy:
This letter is written as a follow-up to my voice mail message and our telephone call on August
31, 2000. On August 30, 2000, your firm placed a 30" water line in service which apparently
contained a substantial amount of sediment. That sediment was transferred throughout our
water system creating situations where citizens throughout the city are experiencing brown
water flowing out of their faucets. I had 4 employees working most of the night flushing fire
hydrants. They continued to work today and will continue to work until the system is clean. I
also have three secretaries fielding non-stop telephone calls from irate citizens about the brown
