Kimley-Hom and Associates CKHA) performed a visual review of the re-constructed sidewalk
along Denton Tap Road m front of the site. I traveled to the site on Monday, November 15, 2004
and performed the visual review of the sidewalk in the median of the northern driveway on
Denton Tap Road. I placed a 4-foot digital level on the cross slopes and running slope of this
sidewalk at various locations. The slope readings that I observed are shown on the attached
illustration.
I found that this sidewalk and its ramps have cross slopes of 2% or less. I also found that the
sidewalk running slopes were less than 5% and the romp running slopes were less than 8.33%.
Based on my understanding of ADA and TAS regulations, the running slopes and cross slopes I
measured for this sidewalk and romps are less than the maximum allowed and thus comply with
these regulations.
