Drilled Shaf~ Retaining Wail Issue
Dear Mr. Grit~ln;
It is our understanding that there m'e colfllicts with existing utilities in the location of the
proposed drilled shaft retaining wall at Sra. 14+75 - 16+68. We have been asked to look at
building the gravity wall, originally bid as an alternate, in that area. Panel RW4 would still be a
drilled shaft wall because of the drainage ouffall.
Attached you will find an analysis of the quantities originally esmblishcd, quantities paid to date,
and the balance available to offset thc cost of the gravity wall. It appears that Coppell would save
$ ! 0,677.84 with the proposed modification.
Included in thc revised price of thc gravity wall is thc cost of reintbrcing stecl already tied for the
drilled shaft wall ~md compensating the driller for a significantly reduced scope of work.
