Jay, underlined on the January 2 letter is the amount the surety bond should
be for. The other matter is the repair to the traffic signal that should be paid
directly to the City since it is an invoice. The effective date of the bond is
normally two years from the date of final acceptance from the City, however
since this has been an ongoing case, your bond's effective date will begin the
date of the repair, or June 16, 2004 - June 16, 2006. Once the bond and the
invoice amount have been received, Rick can sign the C.O. and give you the
final acceptance letter.
