RE: CMAQ 10 Project, MacArthur Blvd. at Belt Line Road
Dear Mr. Smith:
When the above project was re-started recently, the City of Coppell was promised an update on
the schedule of intersection closings, copies of test reports and the tentative date for reopening
the intersection. None of these items has been forwarded to our office or communicated to the
Engineering staff.
The necessity of communicating this information to the City of Coppell cannot be over-
emphasized. When the project began in earnest in the spring of this year, we scheduled weekly
meetings so that all entities participating in the project could be kept up-to-date on construction
activities including schedules. When the project shut down temporarily this summer, the
communications between TxDOT and other parties also apparently shut down. The latest
information received regarding the project is dated 9/16/04.
We are in need of the requested information immediately so that we can disseminate the
information to citizens, the City Council and other affected departments within the City.
Please forward to this office the following items:
1. All copies of geotechnical test reports
2. The schedule for any future intersection closing(s)
3. The expected date for reopening the intersection
4. Copies of pay estimates
5. Any field changes or change orders issued
If you have any questions feel free to contact me at (972) 304-3684.
