West Sandy Lake Road - Utility Coordination Meeting
Per our meeting on March 31, 2004, we are providing you with proposed plans highlighting
the areas where there are possible conflicts with your facilities. Please check these plans
with your records and determine if we show your facilities accurately and that we have
identified all of the possible conflicts.
As we discussed, the vaults on the north side of West Sandy Lake Road are 6'x6'x8' traffic
rated concrete vaults with one or two access manholes per vault. The access manholes can
be adjusted both horizontally and vertically in order to avoid the proposed improvements.
Additionally, the duct lines running parallel to the roadway can be adjusted accordingly to
avoid conflicts with our proposed storm drain improvements. At locations where possible
conflicts exist, Verizon will pothole the facility, determine if there is a conflict and relocate the
facility prior to the start of construction in October. Additionally, the aerial lines on the poles
on the south side of West Sandy Lake Road will be relocated to underground prior to the start
of construction These relocated facilt es w be located such that they do not present
Please let me know if you have any questions or comments regarding my understanding of
our meeting. If you find that our drawings do not accurately reflect your facilities or if there
are other conflicts that we have not identified, please let me know. I will provide a copy of
this memo to Ken Griffin, P.E. with the City of Coppell so that he will be aware of the situation
when you apply for any relocation permits.
