Construction Plan Review Comments
Dear Mr. Helmberger:
The City of Coppell has reviewed the revised plans for the referenced addition. These plans meet
our current minimum standards with the exception of the following comments:
I. Install a second valve in the configuration indicated on C3 to prevent future interruption of
water service.
2. Provide proof of permission granted by the owner of the brick-screening wall to remove and
replace to preconstruction condition for connection to the existing manhole.
3. Utility Construction General Note #7 should state that the FDC should be within 50' (not
100') ora fire hydrant.
Once these changes have been made, please submit revised copies for the City Engineer's stamp.
The City of Coppell requires three sets of final construction plans for its use; your office should
submit as many additional sets for stamping as is necessary for construction operations. All
contractors and subcontractors onsite must have a copy of the plans approved by the City of
Coppell.
All fees must be paid prior to release of this project for construction. The City charges a 2%
inspection fee for all private construction outside the building's footprint. This includes dirt
work, paving, storm drains, water lines, sewer lines, drainage pipes, etc. that are private. For all
installations in the public right-of-way or easement, the City charges a 4% fee. A check for
inspection fees made to the City of Coppell should be submitted to this office along with the
Construction Development Permit Application and a copy of the Construction Site Notice. For
your convenience a spreadsheet is attached to the pemfit application for use in calculating the
inspection fees. A copy of the contract(s) should be attached for verification purposes.
