Clay >>> "Cha.~d Branum" <cbranum@coppellisd.com> 7/26/2004 1:09:28 PM >>> Clay, I finally got some more information from Kyle Capps this morning and wanted to pass this along to you: "1 have not found the actual permit application that Guernsey and Assoc prepared for the City of Coppell, but the City would not have issued the permit at 10 feet since the City has a 24" water line at a depth of 8.5it to 10.5it that we would have hit. I did find other references prepared by the City for other permits that issued the permits with modifications via letter and I will continue to look for this specific permit. However, I believe that the issue with Mastec is not a question of who is at fault, rather, they simply don't want to pay Capco for the repair. Even with the City prints, Mastec still hit both a sewer line and a water line and I feel the City would be dealing with the same issue if they had anyone other than Mastec repair the lines. Robbie with Mastec believes that I have some issue with Mastec and am charging them to much, but that isn't the case. While I do not need to justify my pricing to Mastec, I will furnish some information for both the District and the City to demostrete that the pricing is my normal charge." If you think that the city would like to have some cost justification from Capco just let me know and I will ask Kyle to provide that. This may not help you that much but it is all that I can get from Capco at this time. Let me know if there is anything that I can continue to do to help this process along. Feel free to call me on my cell phone with any questions you may have. That number is (214) 869-0932. Thanks!
