Sanitary Sewer Review Comments
Dear Ms. Hatley:
Following a review of the above referenced construction plans, the following comments are offered for
your consideration:
GENERAL COMMENTS
1. The plan sheets are incorrectly numbered.
2. It is difficult to distinguish the existing 8-inch sanitary sewer line in the plan view. Need to use a
different line delineation.
3. Where there am existing services, the proposed sewer line will have to be installed parallel to the
existing line. The existing sewer line and manholes will have to be abandoned per City of Coppell
standards.
4. Utilities does not know the locations of the services north of the aerial, they were not located during
the video inspections.
5. Utilities had previously indicated that there were not any services in the section of sewer line, from
the aerial south to Bethel Road. While verifying some information on the plans, they noticed flow in
that section of sewer line. Please contact Ted Dutt at 972-462-5161 to get the information on the
location of the service(s).

1. Station 3+86.74 - Replace the SSCO with a 4-foot diameter manhole. The maximum run for a clean-
out is 200 feet.
2. There is not an existing 8-inch sewer line that ties into the manhole located at Station 1+42.05, Line
"SS-l". Is Line "SS-I" still required?
SHEET 52
1. The section of sewer line fi.om 4+31.58 to 7+96.22 was not constructed with the Old Coppell
Townhomes. See attached record drawings.
2. P& existing 6-inch sewer line ties into the manhole located at Station 2+05.39. The attached record
drawings for Freeport IX show the 6-inch sewer Iine.
3. Public Works thinks that the southernmost building on the Robertson property ties to the existing 6-
inch sewer line and the northernmost building ties into the 8-inch sewer line.
SHEET 53
1. The manhole located at Station 7+41.11 was constructed over the existing 8-inch sanitary sewer line.
See attached record drawings for the Old Coppell Townhomes.
2. Freeport IX (Duke) constructed a 4-foot diameter manhole on the existing 8-inch line and tied into the
manhole with an 8-inch sewer line. The record drawings for Freeport IX indicate that it is the
manhole located at Station 10+90 on your plans. See attached record drawings.
SHEET 54
1. Station 13+91.52 - Replace the SSCO with a 4-foot diameter manhole.
Please make a written response to each of the comments and revise the plan sheets as needed. Enclosed is
the review set of plans, which should be returned with the next submittal. Should you have any questions
or need any additional information, please advise.
