Areas blasted were cleaned to SSPC-SP10 cleanliness. An area on the wall has also been blasted but it will not be coated today. Prior to the airless spray application of Carboguard 561 the ceiling and rafters were blown clean with compressed air from the blast hoses. Two (2) men performing spray application. This includes the ladder and braces attached to these pipes. Some twenty (20) to thirty (30) mil deep pits are noted on the riser pipe on the second and third rings down from the ceiling. These pits are located on the ladder side of the pipe. The ladder rungs in this area also show signs of metal loss. The top fifteen (15) rungs have varying degrees &metal loss. The contractor is still blasting on the walls and is not yet ready to coat them. The dehumidifier is running and appears to be holding the humidity and dew point low enough for surfaces not to rust bloom. The airless spray application 0fthe prime coat will occur after blasted areas are blown clean and dust has settled.
