Project Number: 94041388
Services: Daily field activities.
On this date, HBC/Terracon's project manager arrived at the above referenced job site as requested
to observe the building pad condition located near the truck dock area of the proposed building.
Apparently the excavated wall of the raised truck dock pad had sheared away from the main building
area due to a lack of lateral support for the exposed wall surface. Ponding rain water was present
along this wall at the time of this observation as well. The sheared pad needs to be reworked and
recompacted prior to any construction to ensure a solid building foundation for the slab
construction. The ponding water adjacent to the building pad may be contributing to the soft soils
within the moisture conditioned zone and needed to be removed.
