Suzan,
I have attached the construction estimate comparison for the original
vs. Alignment C.
Items 1-4: Waterline Installation
- same total length of line (this may increase by 100 feet due to us
crossing from west side to median).
- more open cut in "C"
- less bore in "C"
- approximate $ 20,000 less for "C"
Items 5~14: Fire Hydrants and Irrigation Connections
- same number of new hydrants
- more long connections from line to each side of road
- at least 7 existing hydrant re-connections
- approximate $ 80,000 more for "C"
Items 15-24: Valves and service connections
- additional service connections with bore under roadway
- 15 additional tapping sleeves and valves
- approximate $ 63,000 more for "C"
Items 25-36: Miscellaneous
- additional full depth saw cut
- additional concrete pavement replacement
- reduce curb and gutter remove and replace
- eliminate replacement of concrete retaining wall
- approximate $ 7,000 more for "C"
Net change is approximately $130,000 and this estimate was completed
without the benefit of detailed plans for Alternative "C", so it could
increase or decrease dependant on the final scope of work.

We located the originals and I have the SH 121 agreement signed bythe
city manager. I will get that in the main to you. On the Denton Tap
water line agreement - would you look at the original estimate again.
The $130,000 difference seems high - perhaps there were items we added
for the alternate alignments that would also be required as part of
the
original alignment.

Please find attached the two amendment contracts for the Denton Tap
Rd.
Water Line and the SH 121 Water Line projects.
We would appreciate the City executing these as we proceed with
completing the work.
