RE: Drainage improvements within the City of Coppell
Oak Crest Lane
Dear Mr. Mayfield:
The City of Coppell has entered into an agreement with Dallas County for some ditch work and
drainage improvements along Sandy Lake Road west of Denton Tap Road. Mr. Don Kennedy of
your office has told me that that work is scheduled for the first part of this year. I spoke with Mr.
Kennedy this morning and told him that we had some additional work in town that we would like
to see if the County could perform for us. He asked that I send an official request to you.
I am enclosing a preliminary set of plans for the project for your staff to review along with this
request. I would be happy to meet your representative at your office, or on the project site to
discuss the details and scope of the work to be done.
1 realize this project may not be eligible for any cost sharing, however we are confident that the
quality of work, and the cost of the work performed by the County would be better than if we
proceeded to bid the work through an outside contractor.
