The current project actually ends west of MacArthur. There is a separate project that should be bid in the
near future that will extend Sandy Lake from west of MacArthur to Kimbel Court. As to your question: in
November 1999 voters approved a bond election that included Sandy Lake from Kimbel Court to the
bridge currently under construction over the Elm Fork of the Trinty River. We are currently purchasing
right of way for that project. The time line for start of construction is mid 2001.

I have received the recent update from the City concerning the Sandy Lake
improvements. I notice from the schematic that was sent, that the project
ends at approximately Kimbel Court.
Since I travel Sandy Lake everyday to connect with 1-35 1 was curious as to
the plans for Sandy Lake from MacArthur to the city limits connecting with
the new bridge over the spillway.
Any information you could provide would be appreciated.
