RE:
Sandy Lake Road Project #ST 93-01 / 1380 E. Sand)' Lake Road
Parcels 20 & 20SE
Dear Mr. Spain:
For some time now the City of Coppell has been working with Dallas County and the engineering firm of
Sverdrup, Inc. to finalize the construction plans for the widening of Sandy Lake Road from MacArthur Blvd.
to the east city limits. We have also been working on the finalization of the right-of-way documents. Our
records indicate that Terra Corp Joint Venture is the owner of a parcel of land along Sandy Lake Road as
shown in Volume 88071, Page 0717 of D.R.D.C.T. Because of the floodplain associated with the Elm Fork
of the Trinity River, it is necessary to elevate Sandy Lake Road in this area. Because of elevating the
roadway, it is necessary to obtain the rights to perform additional sloping on your property. This sloping will
allows us to create a gentler grade from the new curb line of Sandy Lake Road to the natural ground on the
referenced property. The additional slope area shown as Parcel 20SE. The City of Coppell is in the process
of selling bonds to begin construction on this project in the fall of 2002. Therefore, it is imperative that we
obtain the right-of-way in an expedient manner.
With this letter I am providing a copy of the easement documents and dedication instrument. If you should
have any questions or if you wish to view the preliminary construction plans pletLse contact this office at
(972)304-3686. Any assistance you can provide in getting these documents cxecuted will be greatly
appreciated.
Sincerely,
Kenneth M. Griffin, P.E.
