Construction Plan Review Comments
Dear Mr. Hickman:
The City of Coppell has reviewed the revised plans for the referenced addition. These plans meet
our current minimum standards with the exception of the following comments:
1. The nose on the proposed median cut does not met the standard City of Coppell round
median nose.
2. Sheet C-2, Paving Note 7. Shall read "Redwood expansion joints shall be used wherever the
pavement will abut a structural element..."
3. Sheet C-6, Erosion Control Plan Std. General Note 4. references the City of Allen. Refer to
City of Coppell standards.
4. Remove the Handicap Ramp Section with grooves from the Details & Notes.
Once these changes have been made, please submit revised copies for the City Engineer's stamp
and as many copies as necessary for your contractors. The City of CoppeI1 requires three sets of
final construction plans for its use; your office should submit as many additional sets for
stamping as necessary for construction operations. All contractors and subcontractors onsite
must have a copy of the plans approved by the City of Coppell.
All fees must be paid prior to release of this project for construction. The City charges a 2%
inspection fee for all private construction outside the building's footprint. This would include
dirt work, paving, storm drain, water lines, sewer lines, drainage pipes, etc. that are private. For
all installations m public right-of-way or utility easements, the City of Coppell charges a 4% fee.
A check for inspection fees made to City of Coppell should be submitted to this office along with
a Construction Development Permit and the NO1. For your convenience a spreadsheet is
attached to the permit application tbr use in calculating the inspection fees. A copy of the
contract(s) should be attached for verification purposes. If you have any questions, please
