DWU Waterline Shutdown
Dear Mr. Locke:
Thank you for visiting with me regarding the temporary shut down of the Dallas
Water Utilities (DWU) thirty inch water line in Coppell. As we discussed, the
line will be shut down sometime in February and returned to service by the end
of March. The shutdown is necessary to relocate portions of the line affected by
the reconstruction of Sandy Lake Road.
It is my understanding that the DWU connection is currently used as an
emergency backup supply for Lewisville. We are currently making arrangements
for the Upper Trinity Regional Water District (UTRWD) to provide the services
during the interim.
You indicated that Carrol Bassinger is the contact person with whom we should
be making arrangements. I will conduct future communications directly with
Ms. Bassinger. In the meantime, we need to know what additional information
you will need such as:
- UTRWD contact person
- UTRWD phone numbers
- UTRWD emergency supply procedures
- etc.
