Four Seasons 2R-CS050217Keith Darvin - BEE: Royal and ~ndy Lake ' page 1 From: To: Date: Subject: Keith, "Jack Evans" <jevans@pkce.com> "Keith Marvin PE. (E-mail)" <kmarvin@ci coppell.tx.us> 2/17/2005 6:52:03 AM BCE - Royal and Sandy Lake I have looked at the existing drainage that goes to the existing curb inlet located in our proposed drive in Royal. Existing, there is less that 1 0 acre that contributes to the curb inlet. I looked at just knocking off the top of the curb inlet and replacing with a 4-grate inlet (traffic loaded) A four grate has a capacity of 10 cfs at 0.5 foot of head. Based on 0 98 acres contributing and a C value of 09 (which is probably a little high for just a road) we can expect 7.4 cfs in a 100-year storm. Based on this information I am going to ask that we just modify the existing inlet in lieu of modifying and adding another inlet that would only pick up less than 4 cfs (half of the contributing area - depending on what side it is located). If this solution is reasonable to you, we will revise the plans accordingly and submit to you for approval. Sincerely, Jack C. Jack Evans, P.E.
