Time Warner-CS050224T H E C I T Y 0 F COP?ELL February 24, 2005 Mark Massie Time Warner Telecom 15303 Dallas Pkwy, Ste 610 Addison TX 75001 RE: Sewer Line Damage Dear Mr. Massie: Representatives of your contractor for the permit named Denton Tap 2 (along Denton Tap Rd. from Andy Brown Park to Sandy Lake Rd.) damaged a City of Coppell sewer line in the vicinity of Town Center Drive. The sewer line runs along the west side of Denton Tap and the line was apparently hit with the boring machine between two manholes on the southwest comer of that intersection. City of Coppell personnel in the Traffic Signal Division were informed of possible damage to a signal box in the area at that time, when in fact, the sewer line was the object that suffered the damage. This damage was not noted at the time of the walk-through, as a sewer line will continue to function even with a hole in it, unlike a waterline. It usually takes some time to diagnose a problem after a hit of this kind. A video of the line revealed the problem. I am attaching your drawings in this area, the "as-built" plans for the sewer line, and the video showing the damage. Please contact this office to set up a meeting to discuss this damage and an appropriate resolution to the problem. Sincerely, Keith R. Marvin, P.E.
