Dear Citizen:
The City of Coppell is in the process of receiving bids for the construction of drainage
improvements on Oakcrest Lane. The construction will begin at the downstream (south) end on
each side of Oakcrest Lane and proceed to completion on the upstream (north) end.
The construction will consist of the excavation and re-grading of existing barrow ditches,
removal and replacement of new culvert pipe, removal and replacement of all or a portion of the
public portion of existing driveways, removal of an asphalt intersection and replacement with
reinforced concrete pavement, and sodding o f all disturbed areas.
The driveways at 500, 504, 508, 516 and 520 Oakcrest Lane are to be removed and replaced
in their entirety from the edge of the asphalt pavement to the property line. Since there is no
on street parking on Oakcrest Lane, the Contractor will coordinate with each property owner
for the excavation and replacement of the concrete driveways. The Contractor will work
closely with those respective residents in order to provide access at all times.
We anticipate opening bids and taking to City Council for their approval in April 2005 and
starting construction in June 2005. If you have any questions or need any additional
