Re: Town Center Bank Drainage Issue
Bobby,
I have two issues that need consideration for your proposed drainage resolution:
1. I don't think simply grouting the throat openings will work on the existing inlet. You may need to
remove the entire top and re-form the top of the box. Instruct the contractor to work with the city's
inspector for an appropriate closure of the existing inlet.
2. Ensure adequate grading is done to direct the runoff to the new inlet location.
Coordinate any modifications to this submittal with the city inspector, and ensure these changes are
reflected on the as-built plans.
Feel free to call with any questions or comments.

Keith,
Attached is the drainage revision for the Town Center Bank Project on
Denton Tap per my voice mail. The existing wye inlet elevation is about
2 feet below and 2 feet away from the proposed sidewalk going in along
Denton Tap. To resolve a potentially hazardous situation, we came up
with the attached design. We are proposing to convert the existing wye
inlet into a junction box and construct another inlet further away from
the sidewalk. This inlet will be within a proposed drainage easement
and will collect the flows from the adjacent tract to the South. Please
call me to discuss in further detail.
