Re: Revised Fire Lane
Charlene LaMattina; Tim Oates
Pies,
! reviewed the revised driveway location with Charlene in Engineering and Tim Oates, the Fire Marshal and they
responded that the revised driveway location appears acceptable, subject to: relocating the fire hydrants out of
the paving area, and a detail (dimensioned) drawing. As we discussed, these revisions will need to be
submitted and reviewed prior to City Council. The re-submission date is May 30th, by noon.
! will mention at P&Z this evening you are addressing this issue, and it is expected to be resolved prior to City
Council consideration.
thanks

Attached is a pdf indicating our solution to aligning the south fire lane with the intersection of Lake Vista
Drive. The proposed modification is shaded in green. You will note that it does not change your property line and
it makes the amount of fire lane paving more equitable between your site and Lot 6. As a result of this
modification Brian would loose about four parking spaces at this entry; however, I see no reason why he could
not make them up in another area on site. Since you have a standing agreement that he will participate equally
in the paving costs of this mutual drive, this should not be an issue.
I located the intersection off of street construction drawings for the exhibits we now ara using. If we are going to
center the intersection exactly I would like to have the surveyor tie the intersection down to our property line and
make the modifications to the plat.
Please review this with Brian and advise.
