Fwd: Southwest Construction?
Gentlemen,
The email below came in today from a resident in the Vistas of Coppell subdivision. Your crews have
been out there for two days, and there appears to have been no information provided to the residents of
this subdivision. Furthermore, it appears that this contractor has not gotten the message that we
disseminated at the pre-construction meeting concerning the effort we expect on this project. Please
contact my office to set up a meeting to go over the project expectations for this and any future work
activity related to this FTTP project,

Keith, you might want to respond to this gentleman. I haven't gotten the contact list done yet for the FTTP
project, but I thought Verizon was going to contact the HOA's.

Rhonda:
This message arrived via e-mail. Since it concerns cable/utility installations, I thought your department
might want to respond.
Thanks.

I live in the Vistas of Coppell and we have quite a bit of work being done
by Southwest Construction. It looks as though they are working for Comcast
Cable. Does anyone at the City of Coppell know about this and what they are
doing?
One of my concerns is that the work they are doing in our neighborhood is
not of the same quality as they are doing in the Magnolias. I've been
informed that Southwest Construction is being very careful in the Magnolias
in the way they pile the dirt and store the grass they dig up. They have
stored much of their supplies in the street in front of resident's homes
without protection. Children could easily play on it and potentially get
hurt. In our neighborhood, they are piling the dirt on the sidewalk forcing
the children going to school to go around the dirt, and either on the
resident's landscape or worst, on the very busy street.
I'm a member of the Vistas of Coppell Homeowners Association Board and we
were not aware that this was going to occur, if someone could answer these
questions, we can notify the community as to what is happening and hopefully
address their concern.
