Lewisville's interest in this main is due to the fact that they have an emergency connection to this main located at Valley Parkway. Coppell, also a customer city is serving out of their own 16"W in Sandy Lake. They do not have any connection with the 30"W. Jan, 1994 - Proj. begun with review of conceptual plans received from David Ryburn(Wholesale Services), by R.Nelson, S.Mardy, D.V.Saldana Jan 6, 1994 - Meeting at Dallas City Hall with Ken Griffin, Rady and Associates(Greg Saunders, Robert Maly), Phil Boyd, Ryburn, Nelson, Hardy, Saldana - Design of 1524LF 30"W relo to be included in Coppell's Engineering Contract with Rady and Associate - Prelim. design status; final paving grades not established - Due to limited utility space, Robert Maly said 30"W will be reloc, in the same alignment - DWU will provide const, funding and inspection July 21, 1994 - Proj. review by R.Nelson, from plan received July 1, 1994 from Rady through Ryburn for relocating 5370 LF 30"W due to one drainage conflict and lowerings of 6 sections due to paving cuts July 28, 1994 - letter from Ryburn to Steve Goran( Director of PW, Coppell), "How will Flower Mound be supplied with 3 mos. shutdown?" (Coppell City Council meeting of September 27, 1994 approved to delay the project to allow for further investigation of the location and upgrade of the TU Transmission lines) Apr. 22, 1996 - Memo from Cowan to Boyd - Is 3 mos. shutdown, same alignment acceptable? Apr. 25, 1996 - Memo response from Boyd to Cowan - shutdown limited to only 48 mos. during winter mos. May 17, 1996 - Proj. rep. to Griffin - redesign with an offset alignment (5370LF) to allow 30"W to stay in service during const. June 21, 1996 - meeting in Coppe11- Cowan, Battad, Griffin, others - Plan review, to go joint const, or we can go City contract, Griffin undecided on a previous phone call Dec. 19, 1996 - General meeting at Coppell - Rady and Associates, Relocations personnel, Phil Boyd, all other utilities - It was discussed and determined that the entire 10, 157 LF had to be reloc, due to shutdown limitations and as previously determined, lowering of the main due to paving cuts, 1 drainage conflict and, based on a current review of the plans, additional conflicts with 45 of the proposed street lighting's 24"dia. drill shafts (8'deep) Aug. 30, 1997 - Rady submits plan for review for 10,157 LF 30"W Oct. 15, 1997 - Griffin submits draft of ILA for joint construction including cost cf ~esign?
