Suzan,
You should be receiving a copy of the bid tab and summary very soon
this afternoon. I have reviewed it and the bid by Fox is balanced.
There are two bid items that were not consistent with our opinion of
cost. I-3, Boring, is very high (by approx $100/ft), even though our
previous information for boring supports our estimate. 1-24, Erosion
Control, is also very high compared to our estimate. Otherwise, all
looks in order.
I will put together the recommendation letter today and send it off to
you.
Once the Council has approved the project bid, we will prepare the
contracts for Fox to sign, and then get them back to the City for your
signature.
Let me know if there is anything else I need to be doing to prepare for
the preconstruction conference.
