Dear Mr. Weber:
I have completed my review of Mr. Alford Main's question regarding the
combination air release valve (ARV) at Station 70+79.68 of the Dallas Water
Utilities (DWU) 30" water line. The ARV must be a 6" valve per Mr. Jun
Battad of DWU.
The City of Coppell has not yet assigned an inspector to this project. For the
purposes of the project sign, the words "[Inspector Name], Inspector" should
read "City of Coppell.'
I have completed my review of your request for M-Co to begin construction in
several areas. Kimley-Horn cannot allow M-Co to begin construction of the
storm sewer from Station 51 +22 to Station 54+80 or of the storm sewer from
Station 55+70 to Station 63+78 at this time. We are currently examining
several different options to avoid conflict between the 21" and 66" storm
sewers and the existing 16" gas line at Moore Road that may affect the storm
sewer alignments. TU Pipeline Services will be exposing this gas line in
several locations on Tuesday, October 20t". I will contact you as soon as this
issue is resolved.
Kimley-Horn will allow construction to proceed in the following three areas
identified in your letter dated October 6, 1998:
Storm sewer lateral, STA 37+88 to STA 38+55
· Storm sewer, STA 80+ 85 to STA 101 + 17
· Replace existing manholes west of Heartz Road
I am currently reviewing submittals forwarded by you from M-Co
Construction. In accordance with.Item 1.28 of the General Provisions of the
Standard Specifications For Public Works Construction, Kimley-Horn requests

shop drawings prior to submittal. This is generally accomplished by the use of
a cover page attached to each submittal which provides a statement of
certification of the above and a submittal number and description consistent
with the Submittal Schedule ideniified in Special Specification 01310. If you
