Our office received a copy of the Geo-technical Engineering Repod for Coppell Trade Center dated
January 14, 2005 prepared for The Holt Companies by Terracon today. The City agrees to waive its
requirement for the use of lime stabilized sub-grade based on your request by letter dated May 7, 2005.
The use of 4000 psi concrete placed at 6" (instead of 5") for parking areas and 7" (instead of 6") for fire
lanes will be required. Lime stabilized sub-grade will still be required in the City's Right of Way.
This office still is not in receipt of a complete copy of the concrete mix design referenced in your May 7,
2005 letter. Per our telephone conversation earlier today, you will provide this. We have received
pieces of this report from McFadden and Miller that indicate "Final acceptance of this mix must be by
the Civil Engineer." Please include a letter of your acceptance of the 20% fly ash mix design with the
complete copy of the concrete mix design. Upon their review, the City will advise if the requirement for
"no fly ash" will be waived.
