Mr. Dabney:
The City of Coppell intends to construct a 16-inch water line along Denton
Tap Road, from Airline to Bethel Road. This new water line will serve a
parcel of land that I think you have listed for sale. It is the parcel
Dallas Central Appraisal District identifies as 881 S. Denton Tap and is
immediately north of Dairy Queen. The owner is listed as Elizabeth
Hunnicutt.
The 16-inch water line along this parcel will be installed in the median of
Denton Tap. The 6-inch line that is currently located under the southbound
lanes of Denton Tap was installed in 1964 and will be taken out of service.
In order to provide service to this parcel a new 8-inch line will have to be
installed from the 16-inch line to the right-of-way line along this parcel.
The 8-inch line will have to be bored under Denton Tap. The new water line
is of benefit to any future development.
have been trying to contact the owner of the parcel in order to obtain
)ermission to construct the bore pit and install the 8-inch water line. The
bore pit is only needed during the installation of the water line and the
land will be returned to it original condition to the maximum extent
practicable. I sent a letter to an address in Ennis but have had no
response and I was wondering if you could help me in contacting the owner.
The city wants to start construction within the next two months. Attached is
a drawing of the proposed water line and bore pit.
