Road Closure
Village Drive at MacArthur Blvd. closed for reconstruction of Brick Pavers
Dear Citizen:
On May 10, 2005, City Council approved a contract for the reconstruction of crosswalk
improvements at six intersections located along MacArthur Blvd. The Engineering
Department has been working on the design and approach to the reconstruction of the brick
paver bands at the six intersections. The intersections include: 1) Bethel School Rd., 2)
Condor Dr., 3) Village Parkway South, 4) Village Parkway North, 5) Parkway Blvd., and
6) Samuel Blvd./Village Drive.
Because of the configuration of the Samuel Blvd. / Village Dr. / MacArthur Blvd.
intersection, it will be necessary to close Village Dr. at MacArthur Blvd. to reconstruct the
brick pavers. It is anticipated that Village Dr. at MacArthur Blvd. will be closed
approximately three weeks for the reconstruction. I have enclosed an Alternate Route
Map to assist you in choosing the best way to access your subdivision during this project.
Also, beginning May 31, 2005 through August 12, 2005, MacArthur Blvd. will be reduced
to one lane of traffic in each direction for the brick paver reconstruction. I apologize for the
inconvenience and thank you for your patience during this project. If you have any
