MacArthur Widening to Also Take Place
Beginning May 31 through August
12, MacArthur Boulev~d will be reduced
to one lane of traffic in each direction for
roadway construction. Various lanes of
MacArthur Boulevard will be closed to
perform brick paver replacement. One
lane of traffic each direction will be main-
mined on MacArthur, however, several
side streets will be closed to allow for the
reconstruction, according to City Engi-
neer Ken Griffin.
The project is scheduled to take ap-
proximately 60 days. Motorists should
seek alternate mutes during this period.
Motoristawill experience construction de-
lays and inconveniences, said Griffin.
At the same time, various lanes of
MacArthur Boulevard will be Closed to
construct a third southbound lane from
Bethel School Road to north~ofBelt Line
Road. One lane of traffic each direction
will be maintained on MacArthur Boule-
yard.
The project is scheduled to take ap-
proximately 75 days.
