Dear Ms. La Mattina,
In response to comments made on May 31, 2005 regarding paving and subgrade
preparation standards, we would like to request a waiver. On fire lane pavement that
is dedicated to the City, we would like to use a 7" 3,600 psi section with no lime
stabilization in lieu of a 6" 3,600 psi section with lime stabilization.
On the private paving we would like to use a 5" 3,500 psi section with no lime
stabilization as recommended by the geotechnical report prepared for the site. I have
included a copy of the geotechnical report prepared by ECS, Ltd. (Project No.
19:4236, dated March, 2005) for your reference.
