RE: Oakcrest Drainage Improvements Project//DR 04-01
Dear Resident:
The City Council on May 10, 2005 awarded the bid for the construction of drainage
improvements on Oakcrest Lane to Whitewater Construction of Waco, Texas. The contractor
anticipates beginning the work on or about July 5th. The construction will begin at the
downstream (south) end on each side of Oakcrest Lane and proceed to completion on the
upstream (north) end.
As stated in our previous letter of March 10, 2005, the construction will consist of the excavation
and re-grading of existing barrow ditches, removal and replacement of new culvert pipe, removal
and replacement of all or a portion of the public portion of existing driveways, removal of an
asphalt intersection and replacement with reinforced concrete pavement, and sodding of all
disturbed areas.
The contractor's representative is David Cherryholmes and he can be reached at (214) 793-
5393. He will be in contact with the affected property owners to make arrangements for
access to their property. The City's inspector for the project, Garreth Campbell, can be
