FTTP-CS050629Fiber To The Premises Engineering & Planning - West 750 Canyon Drive, SV1E5075 Coppell, TX 75019 Keith Marvin, P.E. Civil Engineer 255 Parkway Blvd. P.O. Box 9478 Coppelt, TX 75019 RE: Verizon FTTP Permit Variance Request. This letter is in regard to your request for Vcrizon to provide a written response concerning utility permits. Verizon is requesting the City of Coppell to authorize a variance from the City's requirement to maintain 5 feet of separation from city utilities when placing facilities within the city Right of Way. The following example is included for clarification purposes: A typical 50 feet of. ROW has 28 feet of pavement from the edge of pavement to the property line. There are 11 feet of City ROW within this 28 feet. Normally a 4 foot. sidewalk is located 1 foot offofthe property line. This leaves 6 remaining feet of ROW.. The city utilities/sanitation sewer are located 8 feet offthe property line, or 3 feet from the back of curb. The way the current infrastructure exists, it is not feasible to maintain the requirement of 5 feet of separation. Consequently, Verizon proposes to place said facilities 1 foot back of curb with consideration for additional encroachment to allow for handhole placement. This placement will allow Verizon to maintain a 3 foot separation from city utilities. Thank you very much for your prompt consideration and approval of this request.
