Regarding: Villages of Coppell, Lot 27, Block A and The Villages of Coppell
Owners Association
Dear Mr. Toole:
This letter is to notify you, as representative of The Villages of Coppell Owners
Association, that significant erosion is occurring at the end of the ditch which runs
parallel to DeForest Drive and empties into Denton Creek. We have addressed this
letter to you after several discussions with engineers of the City of Coppell and the
management company for The Lakes of Coppell Owners Association. Both sources
indicated that maintenance of this ditch is the responsibility of The Villages of Coppell
Owners Association.
The erosion has affected both sides of the end of this ditch as it empties into the creek.
From our investigation, it appears that a significant amount of dirt has been washed away
which ultimately caused large sections of dirt above this eroded area to collapse.
If this problem is allowed to continue, the damage caused to the surrounding landscape
will be irreversible. By acting swiftly to correct this situation the ultimate costs involved
can be minimized.
