AT'T'ORNEYS AND COUNSELORS AT LAW 4025 WOODLAND PARK ~LVD..SUITE ~90 ArLINGtON, TEXAS76013 May 16, 1995 Mr. Jamie Wall Attorney at Law 8300 Douglas Ave., Dallas, TX 75225 Suite 800 Re: Villages of Coppell III Dear Mr. Wall: I represent Westchester Homes in connection with certain complaints heretofore made by Mr. and Mrs. Steven Smith and Ms. Leslie Mathes. For your information, copies of letters regarding these complaints are enclosed herewith. It appears that the essence of these complaints involves an allegation that slope failure is occurring along Denton Creek in the subject Subdivision and is threatening the structural integrity of certain homes. Westchester Momes has investigated these complaints and believes that there is no slope failure and that none of the subject homes are being threatened. In an effort to confirm its own conclusions, my client has decided to obtain an independent geotechnical engineer to evaluate the situation. In order to do this, it would be helpful if we could obtain copies of the following from your client, Grand Homes: 1. The grading plan for the Subdivision, or, at least the grading plan for Lots 20 through 27 between Parker Drive and Denton Creek. 2. 3. LOtS 20 The compaction reports for Lots 20 through 27. Any other engineering data regarding the development of through 27 along Denton Creek. I would like to have the above information as soon as possible so that it can be delivered to our geotechnical engineer for his review in connection with his own analysis of 'the situation. I will be happy to have a courier come to your offices or the offices of Grand Homes to pick up the material. We will, of course, be happy to pay for the costs of copying. Mr. Jamie Wall May 16, 1995 Page 2 If you anticipate any problem in getting this material to me within the next week, please give me a call so we can discuss this situation. Thank you for your assistance in this matter. /~ours ve~ry~,~ruly, RLRB/sjc Enclosures cc: Westohester Homes
