Regarding: Villages of Coppell, Lot 27, Block A and May 15, 1995 Response
Dear Mr. Griffin:
We are in receipt of your letter dated May 15, 1995 regarding the erosion problems
behind our home located at 985 Parker Drive (and our neighbors at 973, 977, and 981
Parker Drive). It is our intent to make it explicitly clear that our letter of May 5, 1995
was sent 1o address erosion of the creek front property, as well as, the erosion occurring
in the drainage easement (drainage ditch) which services the City of Coppell. Before you
so quickly declare the city absolved of any responsibility, please give careful consideration
to the drainage ditch and the wording that is found on the lot-plot diagram that defines
the homeowners association responsibilities. Note: the gabion wall does not extend
through our property.
For well over a year, we have been in contact with you and other representatives of the
city, the homeowners association, the developer and our builder to try to amicably
resolve the erosion occurring in the drainage easement/creek front areas of our property.
All parties contacted have ignored the continued deterioration of these parts of our
property and we are preparing to take further action, if necessary.
Soon, we will be in contact with the attorneys representing the developer and builder in
response to a request for them to view the damage mentioned above. If you would like,
we would be happy to contact you regarding the meeting time so that you could attend
and represent the City of Coppell. If you would like to be present at the meeting contact
us at 393-9496.
Sincerely, _
Lon and Elaine Youngberg
