As per your request and the information you have provided, I have
completed my review of the above referenced proposed gazebo. The
following information and documents are to be submitted along with the
floodplain development permit, for Staff's review:
A grading plan be submitted, showing dimensions, existing and
proposed elevations related to the gazebo, the 100-year flood
elevation, etc.
A certification letter from a registered professional engineer
in the State of Texas is required, indicating that this
structure would not have any adverse impact on floodwaters, etc.
A "Bold Harmless" letter must be submitted to the City of
Coppell, indemnifying and holding the City harmless from any
damages resulting from such activity, and that the applicant
(the owner) will assume all such liabilities.

This proposed activity must be in compliance with the City of
Coppell Floodplain Ordinance #87390.
A floodplain development permit form must be filled out and
signed by the applicant, (see attached), with all necessary
documents, as noted above, for Staff and review and comment.
Staff has no objection to this request, as long as the above comments are
addressed. I am returning the attached documents you sent me regarding
types of gazebos, etc.
