O3072C TO: CC: Mike Smith (Rodman Utilities) Larry Davis (City of Coppell), Rodney Louviere (Dowdey, Anderson & Assoc.), Neal Heckel (Mammoth Development), Keith Marvin (City of Coppell) FROM: Casey Ross RE: Th~nfrastructure I was informed of a concern that the City of Coppell Construction Inspector, Mr. Larry Davis, had with the depth of the 8" waterline that will be constructed parallel to State Highway 121 from The Plaza to Denton Tap Road in a dedicated 15 foot wide Utility Easement. His concern is what will happen if in the future, when the Presbyterian Hospital site is developed, there will be cut along State Highway 121 and the depth of the waterline may be inadequate. Mr. Keith Marvin and I spoke on the telephone this morning and he felt that the waterline depth should be established by the State Highway 121 back of curb elevation and not the existing ground elevation. Mr. Davis is also concerned about the horizontal location of the 8" waterline. At the time of the design, we were aware of existing franchise utilities in the 15 foot utility easement. We tried to best place the waterline in the easement to avoid conflicts, however, we knew that there was a potential of making field modifications to better locate the waterline. We are also aware that we are paralleled by a City of Coppell sanitary sewer line and a City of Lewisville sanitary sewer line and need to stay 9 feet away (outside diameter to outside diameter) from those existing sanitary lines in accordance with Chapter 317 of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
