ClCl's ADDITION NO, 1 - Request for Variance on Subgrade

Dear Mr. Martin:
On behalf of JMC Restaurant Distribution, we request that the City of Coppell grant a
variance on paving subgrade within the property limits as defined by the proposed plat
of CiCi's Addition No. 1. The variance on paving subgrade is based upon the
G~eotechnical Investiaatlon for CICi's Headqyarters. as performed by Reed
Engineering Group of Dallas, Texas. The variance would allow for the new pavement
subgrade to be compacted to a min. of 95% Standard Proctor density without lime
stabilization. In order to provide additional strength, the concrete thicknesses will be
increased by 1-inch in areas of tractor trailer and fire tr~ck traffic. The concrete
thickness will be 7 inches thick within the fireiane, 6-inches thick within the truck traffic
area arid/~J.nches elsewhere.
