Dear Mr. Griffin,
On behalf of the Denton County Commissioners Court, let me
invite you to join our delegation going to Austin to make a
presentation before the Texas Transportation Commission July 28.
Denton County will be requesting funding for the State Highway 121
Bypass and Farm-to-Market Road 2499.
As you know, the Texas Transportation Commission is the three-
member panel appointed by the governor which has the final say on
more than $20 billion in transportation project allocations during
the next 10 years.
These three Commission members have very strong and lasting
impressions of Denton County as all three have had a first-hand
look at our transportation needs and challenges.
In the past, Denton County has always been well represented in
Austin by its cities and chambers at these meetings. I hope this to
be the case once again.
The Commissioners Court is requesting that you adopt a
resolution in support of Denton County's July 28 presentation.
Enclosed is a sample copy resolution as well as a map of where
the Transportation Commission meets in Austin. The meeting will
begin at 9 a.m. and Denton County is third on the agenda.

Denton County has 20 minutes to make its presentation. With
such a small amount of time, it is that much more important for the
county to be represented in person or through resolutions.
Once a resolution is passed, please fax a copy to 817-382-1363
and mail an original to 110 W. Hickory, Denton Texas 76201. Should
you have any questions regarding the July 28 presentation and to
confirm your attendance, please contact Dan Bledsoe at (800) 346-
1689.
Very truly,
~O~ELEY
