Attached is the update for the project. Txdot was present at the meeting and gave a thorough report on all
sections of the project.
Afterwards there was some discussion of some other area projects.
The meeting concluded with a discussion of the move toward Toll facilities. I asked if there had been any
further action on the SH121 toll study. Txdot stated that the corridor had undergone a preliminary study
and that the revenue projections were very good on the portion between DFW and the DNT. They
indicated that the next step was for them to approach the various entities (cities and counties) that front
the roadway seeking support for the concept of making 121 a toll road.

TxDOT's Fort Worth District is including this section of the SH 121 Free-
way in an ongoing MIS, Schematic, and EA consultant contract they have
in the area (The Funnel Project). The Fort Worth District is working
closely with the City of Grapevine to develop the transportation needs in
the area. The following are estimated milestone dates:

Bridgefarmer Design
The Texas Transportation Commission at their July 2001 meeting under
the Innovative Financing Program advanced these frontage road projects to
Priority 1 in Category 3A - NHS Mobility.
These mainlanes will be funded with a combination of local funds and
funding from the North Central Texas Council of Governments
(NCTCOG).
