This letter serves as a reminder of the Technical Committee Meeting on February
8, 1999 at 1:30 p.m. in Conference Room A at City of Grapevine's City Hail.
The address is 200 South Main Street.
This meeting will give us the opportunity to present the evaluation results of the
viable alternatives, to present segment options for the primary alternative, and get
your comments and feedback on them. We will also discuss the format for Public
Meeting #4, and bring you up to date on the study schedule. This Technical
Committee Meeting will include a workshop portion in order to review the
segment options and to get feedback on your ideas and suggestions. The enclosed
figures represent the initial segment options for you to review and provide input.

Yellow Segment
(From Northwest Highway west of Grapevine to the Main Street Bridge)
Option YI
This option will look at continuous frontage roads crossing SH 26 and the
Cottonbelt rail line. Additionally, direct connector ramps linking Northbound SH
121 to westbound SH 114 as well as eastbound SH 114 to southbound SH 121
are proposed to tie into SH 114 west of SH 26 in order to provide for the large
movement of traffic and alleviate the intersections at William D. Tare and SH 114.
The following is a list of the major changes to the existing configuration.
Reverse ramp on westbound SH114 east of FM 1709.
Add exit ramp on eastbound SH ! 14 east of FM 1709.
At-grade crossing of the frontage roads with the Cottonbelt railroad.
Direct connections elevated from EB SH114 to SB SH121 & NB SH121 to WB SH 114.
Elimination of the exit ramp from NB SH 121exit ramp to NB frontage road
Elimination of SB entrance ramp from Main street to SH 121
Elimination of EB entrance ramp from William D Tare
Elimination of Loop ramps at SH 26
Relocation of the EB & WB frontage road between SH 26 and William D. Tare
Elimination of WB exit ramp to SH 26
Eastbound SH 114 was shifted to merge on the left side of SH 121 and likewise
westbound SH 114 was shifted to merge from the right hand side of SH 121.
Option Y2
This option will look at continuous frontage roads crossing under SH 26 and the
Cottonbelt rail line. Additionally, direct connector ramps linking Northbound SH
121 to westbound SH 114 as well as eastbound SH 114 to southbound SH 121

Provide "Jug Handle" connections from frontage roads to SH 26.
Eliminate eastbound exit ramp from SH 114 east of SH 26.
Relocate eastbound entrance ramp east of SH 26.

discontinuous frontage roads along SH 114. Additionally,
direct connector ramps linking northbound SH 121 to westbound SH 114 as well
as eastbound SH 114 to southbound SH 121 are proposed to tie into SH 114
east of SH 26 in order to provide for the large movement of traffic and alleviate
the intersections at William D. Tare and SH 114. The following is a list of the
major changes to the existing configuration.

Relocation of eastbound entrance ramp from SH 26.
Eliminate eastbound exit ramp from SH 114 east of SH 26.
