Dear Mr. Griffin:
I am pleased to announce the selection of HDR as the consultant for the SH 114 Major
Investment Study. I-DR is joined with HNTB Corporation, Kimley-Horn, Hicks & Company,
and others to form the corridor planning team. Mr. William Hagood, PE of HDR is the principal
project manager. Mr. Garey Foyt, PE of HDR is the engineering manager. Tom VanZandt of
Hicks and Company will lead the environmental assessment. Mr. Terry Watson, PE of Kimley-
Horn & Associates will manage the travel demand and analysis operations for the study. Final
negotiations with HDR are still pending.
HDR predicts a shortened conclusion to the SH 114 MIS. They indicate their team has upwards
of 43 people to staffthe project. I anticipate resuming regular Technical Committee meetings in
