Dear Mr Witt:
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT)-Fort Worth District, is beginning a Major
Investment Study (MIS) of the SH 114 and SH 121 corridor north of the DFW Airport. The
limits of the study are from SP 382 west of Grapevine to the Dallas County line. This MIS is a
continuation of previous public involvement that concluded with a Feasibility Study published
November 1991. The MIS considers all transportation impacts in the corridor such as mobility
improvements, economic development and environmental concerns.
Kick-offmeetings for the SH 114/121 MIS are being held to initiate this study. Our records
indicate an absence of your city's participation. Your city's participation in this study is crucial to
comprehensive conclusions in the final report s. A written response is requested to indicate if your
city will or will not actively participate on a committee that provides community insight to the
study. Please direct your written response to Mr. Joe Atwood, TxDOT-Fort Worth, P. O. Box
6868, Fort Worth, Texas, 76115-0868. The cities who now actively participate in the study are:
City of Grapevine, City of Southlake, Town of Flower Mound, and DFW Airport.
If there is any information that your city staffwould like to know about this MIS, please contact
Joe Atwood, P.E at (817)370-6614.
Sincerely,
Rondell G Fagan, tL/E.
